Arrived at San Jose airport a few hours before my flight was scheduled to board, so decided to find some dinner and a place to work. Wandered FAR down Terminal B and found Shark's Cage.

Checked out the menu and liked the idea of a lobster grilled cheese sandwich. Easily found a table and got settled in. Not too busy when I arrived, but got pretty crazy by the time I left an hour or so later.

I ordered the lobster grilled cheese sandwich with a side of onion rings ($1.99 upcharge) along with a tall glass of Stella. The beer arrived quickly and I got to work on my laptop.

It took maybe 20 minutes for my food to arrive, which was fine with me since I already had my beer and was in no rush to get to the gate. The lobster grilled cheese sandwich was really good -- large slices of sourdough bread with cheddar cheese and a generous portion of large lobster chunks strewn throughout.

Needed a little salt (solved with the salt shaker on my table) and a little acid (solved with a few shakes from the bottle of Cholula Chipotle salsa on my table), but easily fixed.

The onion rings were battered and really greasy so I had just a few of those.

Overall, if it's not too crowded, I would recommend this place. Service was good, though by the time I left and the tables all filled up, the sole server was running around like a crazy man -- barely keeping up as he was taking orders, delivering orders, and cashing out customers.

DON'T EAT HERE!!!! There are better options at the airport and cheaper options. It took us an hour to get our food and when we got our food it was disgusting - chips that came with the quesadilla were stale.

Not only was the food horrible but when we got seated a sharks game had started and none of the TVs where playing it!! We asked our waiter and a bartender at the bar to put the game on and it never got turned on. While eating at a sharks restaurant we were watching the game on our phone... ?!

Don't waste your money or time here. I am so surprised the sharks let this place us there logo - embarrassing

Do not come to this restaurant, even if you're just buying drinks!!

Since The Brit had a long line, my friends and I decided to grab some beers at Shark's Cage since it's just beers. As we walked by, a couple told us not to go in there because they have the worst service and it would take 30 minutes just to get one beer. My party didn't listen and we grabbed a table and headed to the bar for drinks.

    Service:
It took a total of 40 minutes to get 4 shots and 1 beer, we ordered 4 shots and 4 beers but apparently we get what the bartender gives us. It took another 30 minutes to grab 3 more beers. I understand that the airport is busy it looked like the waiter and bartender ( there were only 2 people working) were stressing themselves out more than the customer stressing them out.

    Beer:
I ordered 3 Goose IPAs and that did not taste like Goose IPA. I have had Goose many times before and what this beer tasted like was half Goose and half water.

Overall, terrible service and bad beers.

This place is horrible.  I have to give it 1 star to write the review.   Had to go and get a menu from the bar, waited 10 minutes and no one came by to our dirty table and then the server yells, "if I don't have a food order sorry- Kitchen is closing!!!"   What a joke.  I walked out with my wife.  Terrible people.  Terrible management and I no one will call me back about my complaint.

I've been traveling to San Jose for over four years. You can always count on this place to disappoint. Ordered beer and wings. Got the beer. 30 minutes past no wings. Had to leave to board my flight. I did mention to the server about the urgency, but based on the look on his face and the look on the other two employees, they could not care less. Surprised this place has not gone out of business...but guess when you have very little choices in the airport.....
